Erica Maccarone
Erica is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) who graduated from QUT with a Batchelor of Nutrition and Dietetics, majoring in sports Dietetics in 2003. As a Dietitian, Erica has clinical training in critical care, general medical and surgical dietetics from her time working at the Royal Darwin Hospital from 2009-2017. Erica has experience in paediatrics and enjoys working with mums towards improving health food ideas. Erica is available at Keperra Family Practice on Friday mornings.

Daniel Crockett
Graduated from QUT with a Bachelor of Podiatry and has 5 years of clinical experience. I fell in love with everything within podiatry using previous sporting experiences and theoretical knowledge to help and empower patients to prevent and overcome injuries. I have a particular interest in all areas of podiatry from sports medicine, wounds, high risk, rehab and paediatrics. I am continually learning and growing his understanding about podiatry as well as new areas that are constantly developing in the podiatry world. I also have a Bachelor of exercise and Sports Science and a fascination with biomechanics and human movement which I apply daily. Great experience in managing heel pain, arch pain, foot and ankle pains. Book online today.

Chrissy Skinner – Diabetes Educator & Exercise Physiologist
Chrissy is a Credentialled Diabetes Educator and Accredited Exercise Physiologist with a strong background in working with clients for diabetes and weight loss. Her qualifications include a Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education & Management (University of Technology, Sydney 2014), Bachelor of Health Science – Nutrition (QUT 2007), and Bachelor of Applied Science – Human Movement Studies / Bachelor Business (QUT 2005). Chrissy believes strongly in assisting patients with self-management strategies that can lead to long-term behaviour change to optimise health outcomes. Her areas of expertise include educating adults with Type 2 Diabetes, Type 1 Diabetes, Gestational Diabetes, newly diagnosed Type 2 Diabetes, and injectable therapies for diabetes and weight management. She can also initiate and manage patients utilising Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) systems.

Across the country we face a shortage of doctors and nurses to treat our ageing population. At Keperra Family Practice & Skin Cancer Clinic we believe we have an obligation to help train the next generation of doctors and nurses. We welcome medical students and nursing students to the practice and teach them as part of their university training. We see this as part of our commitment to improve the health of our community, over the longer term.
We also have GP Registrars in the practice. A Registrar is a doctor who has entered a training program (the General Practice Training Program in our case) to gain further supervised experience and complete study requirements, before sitting an exam to qualify to practice as a General Practitioner.
